The strong U.S. support for Israel is daunting to most Muslims. A poll conducted by the LA Times indicates that in the recent assault of Israel against the Lebanese that 43% of Americans believe the attack was justified and not harsh in its treatment of the Lebanese people (Wallsten & Ghlert, 2006). Yet the study also showed that 44% of Americans feel that the war was either not justified or that the Israeli response was excessive.

It has yet to undergo the scrutiny of the full house but Hate Crimes bill HR 1592 is the most serious threat to religious freedom since this country began.

Asking if there will ever be peace in the Middle East is not a hard question to answer. It does depend on who you ask and your knowledge of both history and the Bible.

Today is certainly a historic day for Northern Ireland as Unionists and Loyalists come together to form a single, local government. Will it work? I hate to be a stick in the mud, but I don?t think this is going to last. It?s just a matter of time before the Protestants and Catholics start bickering again. That is why I once again reiterate by long held belief that in order for their to be a long lasting peace in Northern Ireland, the region must be ruled by a Jew.

Perhaps the biggest challenge facing America today is the war against terror. Opinions are strong both ways whether you support or oppose it. And the national debate is heated. Is this war worth fighting or are we wasting our time and resources?
