Paid Internet Surveys - How to Earn Money Taking Free Online Surveys
Ever been asked to participate in a survey? If you surf the Internet, sooner or later you'll get asked. Probably, at least for the first few times, you actually answered the questions for one survey or another.
Opinion surveys are a vital tool used by market researchers to get information about consumer preferences. And big companies spend hundreds of millions of dollars every year on market research. One result is that there are thousands of surveys, free of cost to the participants, being taken every week.
To get enough volunteers for these surveys, part of the market research budget goes to getting volunteers to participate. Sometimes the money goes directly to the survey participants in the form of cash payment for completing survey questionnaires.
To earn money taking these free online surveys, you need to make an application to the survey makers who pay in cash. They will need your name, e-mail address and demographic data (age, gender, zip code, etc.). There are two to three hundred of these survey makers that will be worthwhile to apply to.
The problem is that there are over 3,000 survey makers worldwide and over 700 in the U.S. alone. Most of these do not actually pay in cash or points that can be redeemed for cash. Some are really sales companies in disguise that only want to sell you things.
So how do you sort them out? There are basically two ways to sort them out: the slow free way and the faster paid way.
The slow, free way. Just run a search on the Internet for "paid surveys", "paid online surveys" or "free paid surveys" and start applying to all you encounter. They you try them out and discard those that do not actually pay in cash. This will take some time, but it can be done.
There are websites advertising free lists of survey makers. Most of those on these lists are there because they pay the website owners a finders fee or referral fee for finding you. This money goes to the webmaster of the referring site and not to you.
The faster, paid way. There are over 200 paid survey sites (guide companies) that keep track of which survey makers are reliable, pay as agreed, pay in cash and respect your privacy (means they do not sell your data to sales companies who then fill up your in-box with advertisements).
For a small one-time fee ($25 - $50) they will give you a current copy of their list of preferred survey makers and you just apply only to those. This saves you time and work, lets you use your time more effectively. The bottom line is that you get less hassle and more checks in the mail, faster.
It is very important to pick a good guide company. You want one with a strong 60 - 90 day money-back guarantee, backed up by a bank or financial company, and a low refund rate (3% to 6% is ideal). Avoid any with soft guarantees or with refund rates that are either unknown or higher than 9% (9% means that 1 client in every 11 asked for his money back!)
With reasonable demographics and diligence, and your application on file with 200 or so good survey makers, you should be able to easily bring in $200 to $600 a month from paid surveys and related activities. If you work at it a bit you can usually bring in $1,000 a month or more.
